CONCERT VISIONS

The BCN SAX QUARTET project is born from the need to live classical music from a modern sound, to recover the idea that what is popular is what inspires us to go further, to feel that what is everyday, what is ours closer causes reaction.
BSQ wants to create from the disorder and disorganize the established thing, to prevent the spectator from settling on a specific result through a concert where the sound changes radically. An extreme declamation of the music that comes from the tradition where the intensity of sadness and oblivion is mixed, with the rhythmic and passionate sequences of the force of the present.
The VISIONS project is a concert with original works by a saxophone quartet inspired by different popular music from various origins; Flamenco, arabesque music, American folk, Argentine tango, traditional Greek music… Worked from the sound of the saxophone quartet and all of them original creations by David Salleras.
